The Chewy Customer Service Learning and Development team is looking for you! The Chewy Learning and Development organization seeks an instructional designer with a solid background in customer service training and e-learning development. You will focus on building curricula, courses, lessons, and topics for multiple training programs. Your design skills will be applied to Instructor-Led Training and e-learning to improve customer satisfaction. The training you develop will directly impact professionals' ability to resolve customer issues in line with Chewy's Operating Principles. You will have a degree and experience in designing, developing, and delivering learning content. You will collaborate with Chewy teams and SMEs to support operational training and curriculum development. As training needs evolve, you will work on multiple projects related to training and content. What You'll Do Lead curriculum development for new hire or migration training programs. Design, develop, and build blended learning content for troubleshooting and customer service needs. Write measurable learning objectives aligned with business goals. Follow and promote best practices in learning design and development. Collaborate with SMEs to analyze and synthesize content. Use data to support learning interventions. Advance Chewy's blended learning strategy through collaboration. Apply adult learning theories to solve business problems and achieve results. Partner with the business as part of the Operations team. Manage projects to deadlines, possibly building or supporting project plans. Mentor junior team members. What You'll Need An advanced degree or certification in Performance Technology, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or Teaching, with 7-10 years of relevant experience. Proven instructional design and performance consulting skills. Deep knowledge of instructional design theories and ability to communicate them effectively. Experience in e-learning design, development, and evaluation of blended courses. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills and experience with Learning Management Systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Skills Strong instructional design skills, including writing objectives, designing content, and authoring from scratch. Multimedia development experience with tools like Articulate, Vyond, Adobe Suite, and basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills. Experience in learner experience design, usability, and accessibility. Knowledge of learning technologies, SCORM, xAPI, chatbots, and AI tools. Excellent project management skills, familiarity with Jira, Smartsheet, or Asana.
