Harvis, Inc., on behalf of SNF, is looking for a Mannich Plant Operator. This is a direct full-time position located in Taylor PA.
We serve the municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment markets, and our team of experts also works on a wide array of specialty applications for various industries such as Oil and Gas, Oil Sands, Agriculture, Mining, Home Care, Personal Care, Textiles, and Construction.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The purpose of this position is to handle, charge, polymerize, and transfer raw materials and finished product. This position is responsible for the entire mannich manufacturing process, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting the plant manager in routine and non-routine tasks. This is an hourly, full-time position. Work 40 hours per week with some OT at times.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
*Understand the Mannich Manufacturing Procedures.
*Required to wear a full-face respirator at times.
*Charge reactor, pre-mix and mix tanks.
*Read, understand and complete batch sheets.
*Ensure correct samples are pulled and QC tests ran.
*Enter finished product specs in Omnis.
*Properly maintain all vessels and equipment.
*Inspect work areas for safety and cleanliness.
*Maintain lab equipment cleanliness.
*Calibrate lab equipment (if trained to do so).
*Unload raw material tankers as needed and complete the proper paper work.
*Clean up and handle hazardous materials as directed.
*Comply with all safety standards and rules, as set by management including selecting and using the correct personal protective equipment.
*Comply with all environmental regulations including:
*Use of proper waste disposal methods.
*Monitor and record scrubber readings.
*Correct any scrubber deviations.
*Monitor storm drains and docks
*Maintain a clean work environment by completing routine and non-routine housekeeping.
*Maintain inventory awareness for initiators.
*Verify that all piping is marked and containers have HMIS labels on them and that they are legible.
*Notify plant management on any preventive or corrective action that needs addressing.
*Maintain your 5S area and follow the standard work order hanging in the area to keep it organize
*Sign and date all raw material paperwork, COA's and vendor paperwork

Education required/preferred: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: None

Preferred: Prior manufacturing experience

Skills/Qualifications:

Prior chemical handling experience

Understanding of chemical manufacturing and production

Strong communication skills

Proven teamwork ability

Following direction

Forklift Certification

Average-above average English and mathematical skills.
