Project Manager + Senior Interior Designer

Full-time, on site; 4 days in office, 1 day remote

We are seeking a talented Project Manager + Senior Interior Designer to join our award-winning firm. This leadership role blends design excellence with project management — perfect for an experienced designer who enjoys both creative development and guiding projects and teams to success. You’ll have the opportunity to design inspiring spaces of the highest caliber, foster trusted relationships with clients and collaborators, and contribute to the supportive culture of a world-class firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design Leadership Lead assigned interior design projects from concept through completion, in collaboration with the Director of Design and with the support of a dedicated team member whom you will oversee
Participate in design kickoffs and milestone reviews; thoughtfully incorporate design direction and feedback
Create cohesive finish palettes and select FF&A tailored to each project’s vision, across a range of styles
Direct, as well as contribute to, the drafting of detailed interior construction documents using AutoCAD
Maintain exceptional accuracy, quality, and artistry in all design deliverables
Oversee and contribute to polished design presentations (material trays, digital collages, presentation booklets) that meet ARI standards
Conduct site visits, attend vendor meetings, and interface with partners as needed
Lead review/redline processes for shop drawings and samples to ensure alignment with design intent
Stay current with new products and materials through vendor presentations and research
Contribute to special projects and design research as needed
Team & Project Management Present design concepts and lead discussions with clients, building strong, trusted relationships through clear communication and attentive listening
Serve as a dependable, key contact for our clients, as well as our project collaborators (contractors, architects, engineers)
Inspire and mentor fellow team members to contribute their best and grow within their roles
Manage project workflow, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved for both yourself and your team
Delegate tasks strategically, providing clear direction, follow-up, and constructive feedback
Foster a collaborative, positive, and respectful working environment, both within ARI and with external partners

Qualifications • Minimum 7 years professional interior design experience while working at a full-service interior design, or A&D, firm
- At least 3 of these years specific to the full-service interior design of custom new construction, luxury residencesin the United States market
- Comprehensive professional experience in all stages of a construction-intensive interior design project
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design
- NCIDQ Certification, or currently working towards Certification
- Proficient in: AutoCAD LT and Adobe InDesign software
- Sophisticated design aesthetic, consistent with that of the firm
- Capable of delivering high-quality, complete, designs consistent with ARI standards, in a prime design role
- Knowledge of design and construction concepts/terminology common to luxury residences
- Strong familiarity with sources and materials to select luxury residential furnishings and finishes
- Strong competency in drafting and construction documents
- Working knowledge of: Adobe Photoshop
- Working knowledge of Studio Designer a plus (will train)
- Comfort working on Mac computer, in Apple operating system
- Ability to receive direction and constructive feedback productively, and consistently implement
- Ability to work well with others, and work independently
- Leadership and delegation skills, with prior experience overseeing team members
- Commitment to delivering outstanding design and thoughtful solutions for our clients

- Polished and professional communication skills, both oral and written
Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle transportation
