Summary:  

The Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain is responsible for the global planning, purchasing, logistics andwarehousingoffinishedgoods. This individual is responsible for makingsound business decisions daily to balance the cost of the Supplychain with the service expectations of our global customers.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide direct leadership to the planning and purchasing team who oversee global supply planning, freight and brokerage services, logistics, import/export trade regulations, HS tariff compliance, and other regulatory matters related to global trade. Additionally, a team who is responsible for collaborating with CMs to optimize MOQ, streamline lead times, and manage the buy/sell process for InVue goods.
• DirectleadershipofaNorthAmericandistributionfacilityaswellas indirect leadership of two other global 3PL distribution centers in Europe and Asia 
• Directmanagementof USbasedvendorswithresponsibilitiesincludingcost negotiations, lead-time management and commercial terms
• Demandforecastingofallproductstosupportallglobalcustomersandmarketsthrough close partnerships and strong communication with global sales and marketing teams
• Demandandsupplyanalysistobalancecompanyinventory andservicelevelsto customers
• Managementofcorporateinventorylevelstotargetlevels
• Partneringwithglobalsales&customerserviceteamstomeetorexceedthe expectations of our customers
• Collaboration with the US-based engineering team and the global contract manufacturingnetworktosupportthedevelopmentandtimetomarketofnew products
• Developsupplychainprocessesthatenablethecontinuedgrowthandinnovationofthe company
• PositionreportstoVP of Customer Operations.

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’sdegreestrongly preferred
• 10+yearsofexperienceinarelatedpositioninmanagingSupplyChainManagement (with at least 7 years leading supply chain teams)
• Demonstratedteamleadershipexperiencewiththeabilitytoprovideconstructive feedback and direction to both internal and external team members
• Abilitytoworkinateam-orientedenvironmentthatisfastpacedanddemanding
• Self-directedwiththeabilitytobalancetacticalresponsibilitieswithstrategicchange activities
• Strongattentiontodetailand followsthroughonactions
• Exhibitsastrongabilitytohandlemultipledemandswithasenseofurgency,driveand energy
• Trackrecordofdevelopingandimplementingchangewhichpositivelyimpactscompany performance
• Stronginterpersonalskillstoworkcross-functionallywithinternalandexternalteams
• Travelasnecessarytosuppliers,salesofficesand warehouses,estimatedat10%
