We are seeking passionate and experienced Cosmetology Instructors to join our team and help shape the future of aspiring beauty professionals. As a Cosmetology Instructor, you will have the rewarding opportunity to guide and mentor students through their journey in cosmetology education. You'll be responsible for teaching both the theoretical and practical aspects of the field, empowering students to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their careers. Your role will include inspiring students to reach their full potential by providing engaging, hands-on instruction and personalized support.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach both theoretical and hands-on aspects of cosmetology, including hair styling, cutting, coloring, makeup application, skincare, nail care, and other relevant topics.
Create dynamic lesson plans that are aligned with industry standards and the curriculum, ensuring an engaging learning experience.
Demonstrate and supervise practical techniques in both classroom and salon environments, helping students build confidence and skill.
Provide individualized support to students, addressing their specific needs and challenges to ensure their success.
Assess students' progress through practical exams, written assignments, and other evaluation methods to track their development.
Keep detailed records of student attendance, grades, and overall progress to ensure accurate documentation.
Stay informed about the latest industry trends, techniques, and regulations to ensure the curriculum remains up-to-date and relevant.
Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment that promotes student success, confidence, and personal growth.
Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to continuously improve the educational experience and provide well-rounded support to students.
Engage in professional development opportunities to stay at the forefront of teaching practices and industry knowledge.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the cosmetology industry.
Valid cosmetology license in the state where you will be teaching.
Current Instructor license is required.
Demonstrated technical skills in hair, makeup, skincare, and nail care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and industry professionals.
A passion for education, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Patience and empathy to work with a diverse student population.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
Flexibility to adapt to curriculum changes and evolving industry needs.
Previous teaching experience is preferred, but not required.
Basic computer skills are necessary for maintaining records and using educational software.
Work Schedule:
Day and Evening positions are available.
Includes partial work-from-home/remote opportunities.
