We are looking for talented and experienced individuals to join our team as Cosmetology Instructors. In this role, you will have a significant impact on shaping the careers of future cosmetologists. As a Cosmetology Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive education and training in cosmetology, helping students develop the essential skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their careers. You'll inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential by providing hands-on instruction, guidance, and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach both theoretical and practical aspects of cosmetology, including hair styling, cutting, coloring, makeup application, skincare, nail care, and other related topics.
Design and deliver engaging, industry-aligned lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards.
Demonstrate hands-on techniques in both classroom and salon environments, providing clear instruction and supervision.
Offer personalized attention and support to students, helping them overcome challenges and succeed in their learning.
Assess student performance through practical exams, written assignments, and other evaluation methods.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress to ensure ongoing support.
Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and regulations to keep the curriculum relevant and up-to-date.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and success.
Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to enhance the educational experience.
Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching skills and stay informed about industry advancements.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the cosmetology industry.
Valid cosmetology license in the state where you will be teaching.
A current Instructor license is required.
Strong technical skills in hair, makeup, skincare, and nail care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and industry professionals.
Passion for education, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to work with a diverse student body.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing records and documentation.
Flexibility to adapt to evolving curriculum and industry demands.
Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in computer skills is necessary.
Work Schedule & Availability:
Day and evening positions are available, including a partial work-from-home/remote schedule.
