Job Summary The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (BB) I role is designed to facilitate significant quality, process, and performance improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Black Belts are deployed throughout the organization to execute process improvement projects that drive breakthrough improvements in customer satisfaction, process capability, and quality. Additional duties include coaching and mentoring Green Belts, sponsors, and champions in Lean Six Sigma methodology. Following rigorous training, serve as an expert resource on Six Sigma philosophy, tools, and tactics. Job Description Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree required Licenses/Certifications: Black Belt certification required; external certification preferred; PMP preferred Experience / Knowledge / Skills: 1-3 years experience with change management, project management, performance improvement, or data analysis, preferably in healthcare Desire to learn new skills and drive positive change Skills in data collection, entry, and basic statistics Proficiency with Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Word) Strong communication, leadership, and time management skills Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, SPSS) preferred Business acumen and ability to communicate with leadership Experience working with physicians Problem-solving and analytical skills Principal Accountabilities Lead projects with limited help from MBB Define goals, metrics, and team members Develop data collection and analysis plans Design and implement improvement strategies Establish metrics and control plans Provide project reviews and presentations Mentor Green Belts and project teams Build trust and communicate effectively with teams and leadership Ensure safety and adherence to policies Support professional growth and serve as a mentor Create compassionate, personalized patient experiences Other duties as assigned Additional Details Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Management and Manufacturing Industries: Hospitals and Healthcare #J-18808-Ljbffr Memorial Hermann Health System
