Military Contract Specialist - Business Development

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated Military Contract Specialist - Business Development professional to help grow our presence in military and government markets.

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Military Contract Specialist - Business Development professional to spearhead our sales efforts in the military sector. This individual will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals with military bases and government facilities across the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in selling construction and design products to military entities and a proven track record of navigating government procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on selling our products to military bases and facilities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the military sector, including direct sales and government contract bidding.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including military procurement officers, facility managers, and contractors.
  • Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation and proposal development to contract negotiation and closing deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and operations, to ensure product specifications meet military standards and project requirements.
  • Stay updated on government contracting regulations, military procurement trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, military expos, and networking events to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Provide detailed sales reports and forecasts to leadership, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or contract management within the construction industry, specifically targeting military or government contracts.
  • Proven success in securing contracts and selling construction or design-related products to military bases and facilities.
  • Deep understanding of government procurement processes, contract vehicles (e.g., GSA, DLA, DoD contracts), and compliance requirements.
  • Strong network within the military and defense sector, including connections with decision-makers and procurement professionals.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and oversee projects.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $250,000 + commission.
  • Competitive commission structure with uncapped earning potential. An On-Target Earnings (OTE) expectation of up to and exceeding $300,000, including commission.
