This contract position is based in Columbus, GA, where the focus will be on enhancing the communication skills of students under the guidance of certified speech-language pathologists.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
• Prior experience working with K-12 students, particularly in a school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other educational staff.
• Knowledge of various speech and language disorders and treatment strategies.
• Proficient in using assistive technology and related software.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of student-specific speech and language programs.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions as directed by the supervising speech-language pathologist.
• Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Collaborate with educators to support students communication needs in the classroom.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the discussion of student progress and needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all ethical guidelines and regulations.
