Summary ?

A Sensors Software Engineer C o-op is responsible for supporting the Synthetic Environment Software group in software design and implementation.? This is an entry level position and employees will be expected to carry out work assignments of limited scope and complexity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities ?

  • Use a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques in solving problems

  • Assist more senior engineers in carrying out technical tasks

  • Report status to the technical lead

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Enr o lled in an accredited degree college/university program majoring in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline

  • Completed at least 1 year of classes

  • M inimum GPA of 3.0

  • Willing to learn new procedures and applications

  • Detail-oriented

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. ?

Preferred Skills ?

  • Familiarity with C, C++, Fortran, Ada, Python

Security Responsibilities ?

Must comply ?with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.? Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.? All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.? ?

  • ?Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance. ?

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.?

Work Environment ?

This position is in a completely on -site/in-plant position.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines .

Physical Demands ?

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.? ?

  • May be required to sit down for long lengths of time.

  • May be required to climb stairs.

  • Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator.

  • Must be able to support rack mounted equipment (up to 7 feet off the ground).
