Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: New York, NY

Type: Hybrid

Our client is a small hedge fund and they're looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join their ever growing team and play a critical role in protecting infrastructure, applications, and data. This individual will lead advanced security initiatives, respond to complex incidents, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive the company’s security posture forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage advanced cybersecurity solutions across networks, systems, and cloud platforms
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations
• Lead incident response efforts and root cause analyses for security breaches or suspicious activity
• Monitor and tune security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and DLP platforms
• Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
• Deep understanding of network security, application security, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong background in tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, or similar
• Experience with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, or ISO 27001
• Proven ability to lead incident response and vulnerability management programs
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Relevant certifications a plus: CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, GCIA, etc.
