Supports internal and external resources by providing prompt and reliable legal support services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinates and prioritizes assignments and deadlines on a daily basis to ensure orderly operation and effectiveness of legal support services. Performs general administrative and clerical tasks including travel, expense reporting, attorney timekeeping, telephones, mail distribution, supplies, check requests. Manages the department filing system(s) by using a variety of software and scanning capabilities and updating paper files in a timely manner. Assists with preparation of correspondence, applications, petitions, briefs, legal memoranda and other legal documents as requested. Ensures extensive follow-up and monitoring of dockets/cases and helps to maintain the regulatory calendar. Implements cross-training between support team to ensure reliable, effective and prompt service. Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company. Performs related duties as assigned. Requirements Essential Education, Skills, and Environment Education and Work Experience High school diploma and 5 years regulatory or civil litigation experience or equivalent education and experience. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Specialized knowledge of - Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure and/or PUCN, FERC guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Applications.
Demonstrated skill such as: - Ability to adjust to unexpected demands, and able to accept direction from multiple sources.
- Detail oriented and able to handle sensitive, complex, confidential information.
- Demonstrates effective organizational and problem-solving skills, excellent oral and written customer relations skills and a commitment to quality within a team environment.
Equipment and Applications PCs, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams and database software. Work Environment and Physical Demands General office environment. No special physical demands required. Some travel may be required. Compensation $27.02 (Min) to $31.78 (Mid) per hour; Up to 10% Short Term Incentive Plan opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
