Job Title: Branch Manager (Patrol)

Reports To: Senior Branch Manager

Location: Greenbelt, Maryland & Surrounding Areas

Compensation: $21.00 - $23.50 per hour (Hourly)

Supervises: Patrol and Dedicated Officers

Schedule: Evening & Overnight Shifts

Requirements:

  • Maryland Guard Card or DC Security Officer License
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum 3 years of security experience

Position Overview:

As a Branch Manager (Patrol), you will provide strong leadership and operational oversight to Signal's Community-Based Security Officers. This includes implementing policies and practices for effective day-to-day management, overseeing site security, and managing reporting officers. Your role will focus on coaching, mentoring, and ensuring that all operational procedures are followed to provide a safe and secure environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach, mentor, and hold the Advanced and Dedicated Officers accountable to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Lead the Branch Manager Daily Scrum, keeping the team informed of any service, property, or post order changes.
  • Schedule and conduct ride-alongs with officers to provide real-time feedback, accountability, and recognition.
  • Report any client-specific information or concerns to your coordinator and work to resolve issues promptly.
  • Participate in the hiring process, from interviewing candidates to organizing orientation.
  • Oversee the inventory and maintenance of equipment, including uniforms, vehicles, and devices, and report any issues or needs to the coordinator.
  • Participate in performance reviews to enhance the Officer Brand Experience.
  • Ensure schedules align with contracted services and fill shifts as needed while minimizing overtime.
  • Recommend and issue disciplinary action when needed for violations of Signal’s Standard Operating Procedures, and offer positive recognition for outstanding performance.
  • Regularly communicate with the Coordinator during Weekly Meetings to review performance, client issues, and operational priorities.

  • Visioning: Understanding the bigger picture, and the ability to align security services with company values, goals, and the needs of the client.
  • Strategic Planning: Effectively communicate, plan, and execute daily responsibilities while staying on top of changes in regulations and company policies.
  • Financial Acumen: Help drive performance by identifying hiring needs and participating in the interview and onboarding process.
  • Team Development: Build a culture of trust, openness, and respect while mentoring the officers on performance and professional development.
  • Project Management: Ensure all daily tasks are completed efficiently, and review reports to ensure consistency with company standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Pass background check and drug test
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Complete training modules within the first month
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Commitment to service excellence and professionalism at all times
  • Ability to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
