Position Title: Chemical Regulatory & Compliance Specialist

Location: Austin, TX - On Site, Monday-Friday

Duration: Full Time, Direct Hire

Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000/Year

Job Overview:

One of Insight Global's clients is looking for a Chemical Regulatory & Compliance Specialist to join their team on-site in Austin, TX! To excel in this role, you should possess expertise in product safety, SDS authoring, regulatory affairs (including the shipment of hazardous materials), chemical procurement, and product management oversight. You will collaborate closely with our internal teams, including Product, R&D, Production, Facility, and Logistics, to ensure compliance with both domestic and international regulations regarding product SDS and regulatory standards.

Essential Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, or at least 4 years of relevant industry experience.
• 4-10 years of experience working in wet chemical laboratories or chemical manufacturing settings.
• Proficiency with SDS authoring software.
• Experience dealing with regulatory bodies at the federal, state (specifically Texas), local, and international levels (particularly in Korea and Taiwan).
• Expertise in handling and shipping hazardous chemicals, including having a current or recently expired IATA certification (with the ability to renew quickly).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with NetSuite is preferred, but any ERP system is acceptable).
• Proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Possession of EHS-related licenses and certifications (such as OSHA General Industrial, Wastewater Collection, EPA, DOT, ISO 9001) is highly desirable, with support available if needed.
• Willingness to travel to production sites in Korea and Taiwan, potentially twice a year.
