The roe of Regional Support Certified Pharmacy Technician is an in-person, patient facing position that will support the region in with coverage during Staff PTO. This is a Per Diem position. The Pharmacy Technician obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. Performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments. This role is in person, in a pharmacy, embedded in a primary care clinic. The Pharmacy Technician will be required to be on their feet, handle multiple tasks as needed to fulfill a medication and answer patients' questions, in person and over the phone

The Regional Support Certified Pharmacy Technician, supervised by a Pharmacist, performs the following duties.

• Greets patients
• Answers phone inquiries
• Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs
• Assists Pharmacists in price-checking and restocking drugs
• Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer
• Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to Pharmacist
• May operate a cash register
• Follow standard policies and practices
• Will work as needed at the following FLORIDA locations: Deerfield Beach (east), Plantation, West Boca Raton

Schedule: Per Diem as needed, can work typical operation hours 8:30am-5pm EST (can work up to 40 hours per week depending on business need)

Required Training Schedule: 2 weeks of training M-F 8:30am-5pm EST.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license in in the state of Florida
• Must have National Certification (PTCB), or the ability to obtain within the first 6 months of hire
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
• Ability to travel to cover locations in the Northern Broward and South Palm Beach area
• Stand for extended periods
• Frequently required to walk
• Frequently reach with hands and arms
• Frequently bend
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

 

$40,000 - $52,300 per year
