Job Description
Child Care Council of Nassau seeks a Program Assistant for the Eat Well Play Hard in Child Care Settings (EWPHCCS) Farm to Preschool initiative. EWPHCCS is a childhood obesity prevention intervention administered by the NYS Department of Health Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and funded by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) initiative.
The Farm to Preschool Program Assistant will assist the Farm to Preschool Coordinator in organizing and running seasonal produce events at child care centers in Nassau and Suffolk counties. This is a SEASONAL, PART-TIME POSITION expected to run from June through the end of October for up to twelve (12) hours per week.
Compensation:$23 hourly
