Join Our Team as a P&C Portfolio Manager

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving product success? We’re looking for a Portfolio Manager to join our innovative team at Orion180. In this role, you’ll lead our product team, oversee the performance of our insurance products, and develop recommendations aligned with our vision and strategic goals. You’ll monitor market trends to ensure a competitive edge and collaborate across departments to deliver exceptional product quality and performance. The Portfolio Manager will collaborate with various departments, including Claims , Customer Experience , Tech and Sales , to ensure our products thrive in a competitive landscape.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Analyze and Strategize: Conduct market and claims analysis to identify needs, recommend strategies, and drive product improvements.
  • Identify Opportunities: Discover new product opportunities and define product requirements to align with company goals.
  • Ensure Product Excellence: Monitor and ensure that all products perform as expected, maintaining high standards of quality and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate Across Departments : Work closely with sales and marketing teams to review market strategies, communicate product positioning, key benefits, and target customers, and provide input on marketing collateral development.
  • Develop Documentation: Partner with the technology team and technical writers to create comprehensive product documentation and training materials.
  • Understand the Market: Stay informed about the competitive environment and provide technical competitive analysis to support product positioning and sales efforts.
  • Deliver Projects : Provide leadership in delivering projects while collaborating with other departments to ensure alignment and success.
  • Achieve Business Goals: Build and manage product line/category goals to meet business objectives and drive growth.
  • Optimize Pricing : Ensure products are priced within optimal margins, meet specifications, and remain competitive in the market.
  • Build Business Cases: Create business cases and return-on-investment analyses for new features and present them to management for approval.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the insurance industry.
  • Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in property and casualty insurance.
  • Product Management Experience: 3+ years of experience in product management and/or business analyst roles.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively—both written and verbally—across all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical Abilities : Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges effectively.
  • Attention to Detail : High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive : Proven ability to achieve ambitious goals in an innovative and demanding environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to develop strategies informed by research, data, and industry trends.
