JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Manager of Cyber Security to oversee our Security Operations Center (SOC) and lead the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) function. This role will be instrumental in enhancing our security posture, building a scalable and proactive security operations framework, and leading initiatives to maintain and evolve our SOC 2 and PCI compliance. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in cybersecurity operations, risk management, threat detection, and policy governance in fast-paced environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the SOC, ensuring rapid incident detection, investigation, and response.
  • Develop and maintain security monitoring strategies, incident response plans, and threat intelligence workflows.
  • Build, implement, and continuously improve a GRC framework aligned to SOC 2 and PCI-DSS requirements.
  • Own the end-to-end process of compliance readiness, evidence collection, and audit engagement for regulatory frameworks.
  • Drive the development and automation of security monitoring tools, dashboards, and reporting systems.
  • Lead vulnerability management and remediation efforts in coordination with infrastructure and application teams.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and lead mitigation planning for identified vulnerabilities and control gaps.
  • Partner with IT and business units to ensure secure configurations, access controls, and data protection strategies are in place.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, penetration testers, and legal teams during assessments, audits, and incident responses.
  • Stay current on emerging cyber threats, best practices, and evolving compliance requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or SOC management role.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing SOC 2 and PCI-DSS compliance programs.
  • Strong background in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) functions.
  • Deep understanding of SIEM platforms, incident response processes, and modern threat detection techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and mature SOC capabilities including automation and playbooks.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanners, EDR, DLP, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Familiarity with access control models, network segmentation, and security architecture best practices.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work full-time in the office, Monday through Friday.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in enterprise or high-growth environments.
  • Hospitality industry experience is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or PCI-ISA/QSA.
  • Hands-on experience with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Experience collaborating with internal audit and legal teams on security matters.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and how they apply to enterprise security programs.
