Front Office Supervisor We are seeking a qualified front office supervisor to join our practice on a full-time basis to oversee various tasks to ensure the operation of the office. Key Responsibilities: Essential Functions Participates in the hiring, supervision, and evaluation of assigned staff. Schedules for staffing to meet changing workload needs. Provides professional and technical support to staff and troubleshoots the delivery of patient care. Responds to requests from families, and other concerned patients regarding patient care issues. Identifies training needs for staff and facilitates staff development. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of training, orientation, and education programs. Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with standards, laws, regulations, and procedures. Recommends new and/or revised policies and procedures to the department manager. Accurately documents necessary information in Electronic Medical Record System. Ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office by assisting in other areas when needed or as requested. Adheres to infection control guidelines. Always maintains patient confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines. Communicates effectively with patients in person and by telephone at their level of understanding. Prepare forms and patient paperwork for provider review and signature. Physical appearance and conduct are consistent with acceptable professional ethics and CPC standards. Answers telephone by identifying person answering and assisting callers in a pleasant manner. Promotes positive public relations to patients, visitors, families, providers, and others. Screening, prioritizing, and returning patient calls according to office procedure. Communicate effectively with patients and persons by telephone and give great attention to detail following those phone calls. All essential functions must be performed. Qualifications for Success: Education, License/Certification, and Experience Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED required. License/Certification: Registered MA, Certified MA, current LPN, or graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assisting or ABR-OE certification. Must have or be able to obtain CPR certification within 6 months. Experience: Minimum five years of experience in increasingly responsible clinical positions including some experience with supervision of clinicians. Knowledge of general health care practices, office work-flows, medical terminology, and clinical processes. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work autonomously, collaborate with clinical managers, physicians, and administration staff, and be directly accountable for assignments. Strong computer and EMR skills.
