Electrical Estimator - Oil & Gas Location: NW Houston, TX A leading energy services company specializing in Automation Solutions, I&E Construction Services, Power Generation, and Packaged Equipment is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its Field Services team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in estimating electrical projects within the Oil & Gas sector and a strong understanding of industry standards, materials, and construction methods. Responsibilities: Review industrial building plans to determine electrical requirements for proposed projects. Evaluate bid documents to assess overall project scope. Identify necessary documentation for bid submissions and coordinate with relevant stakeholders. Analyze plans and specifications to determine materials, vendor quotes, and resources required for bid compliance. Attend pre-bid meetings or job interviews as needed. Contact vendors and review plans/specifications to obtain and verify vendor quotes. Ensure the accuracy of quoted bill of materials. Required Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of tools and principles used in electrical planning, blueprints, and drawings. Experience working with contract documents, including drawings, subcontracts, addendums, specifications, and change orders. In-depth understanding of electrical materials, construction methods, and industry standards. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations. Expertise in estimating principles, techniques, and electrical codes/standards. Knowledge of suppliers and supplier databases relevant to project specifications. Required Experience & Education: 4+ years of electrical estimating experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Proficiency with Bluebeam and Accubid is required. Ability to showcase past successful project bids. Field experience is a plus. High school diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred. Converge Resources
