Business Unit: BXMA Job Title: BXMA Product Control - Associate Job Description: BXMA Product Control is responsible for managing risk across the platform and achieves this by focusing on three core areas - strategic support, platform enhancement and operational risk management (ORM). A key component of ORM includes the platform’s accurate and timely completion of all applicable reporting to global regulators, including the SEC, CFTC, CIMA, ESMA and US Treasury. While a large portion of this role will focus on regulatory reporting compliance, it will also involve other areas of focus for the Product Control team, including but not limited to SOX and SOC1 compliance, oversight of BXMA’s critical service providers oversight, as well as broader platform initiatives. Key responsibilities of the role include: Overseeing the platform’s core regulatory reporting (+1,000 filings annually) to all applicable global regulators which includes but is not limited to Form PF, Form CPO-PQR, Form PFS, Annex IV, CIMA FAR, Form SLT and Form B Partnering with the Legal and Compliance Team as well as key external service providers on new fund launch regulatory assessments and fees analysis Assistance with key components of other regulatory filings such as Form ADV Regulatory Assets Under Management (RAUM) and AIFMD annual remuneration disclosures Implementation of ORM regulatory reporting strategic initiatives leveraging technology, service providers and internal involvement to manage the risk associated with the increased volume and complexity of regulatory filings Analysis of new regulatory guidance on BXMA’s platform, including perspective on the operational impact and scalability. Act as operations project-lead where applicable for new regulatory filing implementations Collaboration across other BXMA groups, including accounting, legal, compliance, middle office, treasury, investment operations and financial reporting is critical Leading the platform’s data governance and legal entity management initiatives to ensure data is accurate, centralized and consistent across all reporting Overseeing the service provider due diligence program, including annual meeting coordination and documentation Leading SOC1 & SOX compliance oversight across BXMA’s platform, including SOC1 preparation, control testing oversight, and coordination with BXMA control owners and Blackstone’s internal and external auditors Qualifications: Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate must have: 5+ years of relevant work experience (public accounting/assurance, private fund accounting, regulatory reporting) Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance required Experience with private equity, hedge fund and/or fund of hedge fund investing Familiarity with the above regulatory filings preferred Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to facilitate interaction and management of the various internal teams and external service providers Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Effectively lead the planning and execution of projects, with minimal oversight, and deliver process results Experience working in a team environment and contributing to a positive team culture Proficiency in Microsoft excel The duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position. Expected annual base salary range: $120,000 - $170,000 Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables. Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
