Daily Responsibilities:

• Must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment, assisting the staff in implementing a quality Preschool-age educational program and developing positive relationships with the children and their parents
• The After-School Teacher observes and documents children's interests and progress, relays that information back to parents and staff, and implements developmentally appropriate activities under the direction of the Program Director
• Develop and implement school-age program activities and curriculum and encourage participation by children.
• Establish a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for all students.
• Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and daily reports.
• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modelingHelp ensure smooth, daily transitions for children.
• Follow all program policies and state regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Communicate accidents, sicknesses, and incidents to the Program Director in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of professional education experience and classroom teaching experience preferred.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• An understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Hours: 3:00pm-6:00pm

Pay: $16-$22
